Mock Prison Riot 2025

The 2025 Mock Prison Riot will be held 4-7 May at the decommissioned West Virginia Penitentiary: 901 - 8th Street, Moundsville, WV 26041.

The Mock Prison Riot is comprised of two distinct components: the Skills Competition on Sunday/Monday and the actual Mock Prison Riot, which consists of workshops, tactical training scenarios, technology demonstrations, and a technology exhibit hall on Tuesday/Wednesday. Participating teams may compete in the Skills Competition only or train during the Mock Prison only or both. Individuals may observe the Skills Competition only or the Mock Prison Riot only or both. Both the Skills Competition and the Mock Prison Riot comprise the entire Mock Prison Riot event.

2025 Mock Prison Riot General Schedule:

FRIDAY: 2 MAY 2025

Registration Open: 1 pm to 4 pm - South Gate of the West Virginia Penitentiary

SATURDAY: 3 MAY 2025

Registration Open: 9 am to 5 pm - South Gate of the West Virginia Penitentiary

Skills Competition Team Leaders and Team Members walk-throughs and briefings: 9 am to 5 pm. Skills Teams are at their leisure to explore the site and scenario locations.

Skills Competition Team Leader Meeting: 5 pm - Training Center Building on site at the West Virginia Penitentiary. PARTICIPATING SKILLS COMPETITION TEAM LEADERS ONLY.

Skills Competition: 8 am to conclusion of events

MONDAY, MAY 5, 2025

Registration Open: 8 am to 4 pm - South Gate of the West Virginia Penitentiary

Exhibitor Set Up: 8 am to 8 pm - All exhibitors please check in at registration at the South Gate first, then proceed to the North Gate entrance to unload your booth and related items. All exhibitors must be set up by 8 pm. Set ups are NOT permitted Tuesday.

Skills Competition: 8 am to Conclusion of Events

Skills Competition Awards Ceremony: 7 pm - Location TBA. This activity is for Skills Competition Teams only. The location will be announced during the Skills Competition Team Leader meeting on Saturday.

Registration Open: 8:00 am - 4 pm, South Gate of the West Virginia Penitentiary

Exhibit Hall: 8:30 am to 4 pm

Workshops: 8:30 am to 5 pm

Training Scenarios: 9 am to conclusion
